Who We Are

We are Knips-O-Mat, a company providing photo booth rentals and other event services. We are a team that has dedicated itself for over 10 years to bringing people together and capturing unique moments for eternity. We see ourselves as both a professional service provider and a friendly partner to our customers, treating our employees, partners, and clients with equal respect and at eye level.

  • We are professional: We convince through experience and continuous development and are open to criticism and improvement. We see challenges, not problems, and remain solution-oriented. Our Core Value

We value a respectful, inclusive, and safe environment for all employees, suppliers, partners, and customers, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, origin, age, religion, or technical experience.

Expected Behavior

  • Be respectful: Treat others as you would like to be treated. This applies both to interactions among colleagues and to interactions with customers, contacts, other service providers, and event guests.
  • Be professional: Constructive criticism is welcome; personal attacks are not. We communicate with all involved on an equal footing and constantly strive to improve our actions, products, and services through constructive criticism.
  • Be inclusive: Ensure that new members feel welcome and that negative communication does not exclude anyone. Treating one another with respect is our top priority.
  • Always listen: Give others space to share their perspectives. Every opinion is given consideration, even if it does not directly align with your own views. It is important that ethical principles are always upheld.

Unacceptable behavior

We do not tolerate any form of harassment. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Offensive, discriminatory, or derogatory comments.
  • Intimidation or other unwanted communication.
  • Publishing or sharing private information internally without permission.
  • Inappropriate sexual language or imagery.

We are committed to strict compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Compliance with local, national, and international laws is non-negotiable for us. Violations of legal provisions will not be tolerated and may result in civil or criminal consequences in addition to internal sanctions.

We are committed to the ten principles of the United Nations Global Compact and the core labor standards of the International Labour Organization (ILO).

  • Human Rights: We respect and support the protection of international human rights and ensure that we do not participate in human rights violations.
  • Forced and Child Labor: We strictly reject all forms of child and forced labor. The minimum age for employment is strictly adhered to in accordance with national and international standards.
  • Fair Working Conditions: We guarantee fair compensation that meets at least the applicable statutory minimum wages, as well as compliance with statutory working hour regulations.

The safety and health of our members and employees are our top priority. We create a work environment that minimizes hazards and protects both physical and mental well-being. Every individual is required to strictly adhere to safety regulations, immediately report potential hazards, and act responsibly toward their own health and that of their colleagues. Regular training sessions are held, and all employees are instructed to protect their own health and that of customers and event guests by working professionally and safely, even when working outside the company headquarters.

We reject any form of corruption, bribery, or the acceptance of undue advantages. Decisions are made solely on the basis of objective criteria, not on the basis of personal gain or dependencies.

📂 Data Protection and Confidentiality

We protect personal data and maintain the confidentiality of business information. Data is handled strictly in accordance with the provisions of the GDPR and internal policies.

  • Data Protection: Personal data is collected, processed, or used only to the extent necessary for specified, explicit, and legitimate purposes.
  • Confidentiality: Confidential information about the company, customers, or partners may not be disclosed to third parties without authorization, either during or after the collaboration.

As a photo booth provider, we bear a special responsibility in handling image data. For us, privacy protection is not an obstacle, but the foundation for carefree fun.

  • Right to one’s own image: We strictly respect the personal rights of the guests being photographed. Images are captured transparently and in accordance with applicable data protection regulations (GDPR).
  • Data security: We use modern technology to process image data securely and protect it from unauthorized access. Storage or publication occurs only within the scope of the agreements made with our customers.
  • Deletion policy: We adhere to agreed-upon deletion deadlines. Guests have the right at any time to request the deletion of their images, provided we retain data sovereignty.

⚙️ Handling Company Property and Resources

We use the resources provided in a responsible and sustainable manner. Company property (e.g., IT equipment, software, office supplies, or vehicles) is intended primarily for business purposes.

  • Protection: Everyone is obligated to protect company property against loss, theft, or misuse.
  • Integrity: The IT infrastructure must not be used for illegal purposes or to access or distribute discriminatory or harmful content.
  • Sustainability: We ensure the efficient use of energy and materials to minimize our environmental footprint.

🌱 Sustainability and environmental responsibility

We take responsibility for the environment and strive to keep the environmental footprint of our events and operations as small as possible.

  • Resource-efficient props: Hygiene is a priority, but not at the expense of the environment. For props that cannot be reused for hygiene reasons, we prefer to select materials that are sustainable or biodegradable.
  • Sustainable customer consultation: We actively advise our customers on the design of custom products (e.g., backdrops or branding). Our goal is longevity: Through timeless designs and the deliberate omission of specific years, we promote reusability for future events.
  • Efficient logistics: We plan our routes with the utmost precision. Through intelligent route planning, we minimize travel distances and reduce unnecessary CO2 emissions from our vehicle fleet.
  • Smart infrastructure: In our offices, we rely on smart systems to reduce electricity and heating consumption as much as possible.
  • Circular economy: We follow the “Repair & Reuse” principle. Used materials are maintained and reused to the greatest extent possible before considering a new purchase.

🤝 Requirements for Partners and Service Providers

Our values do not stop at our office doors. We expect our business partners, suppliers, and service providers to also recognize the standards set forth in this Code of Conduct and to implement them within their own organizations.

  • Selection Criteria: Compliance with social, environmental, and ethical standards is a key criterion in the selection and evaluation of our partners.
  • Verification: We reserve the right to verify compliance with these principles through audits or self-reports.
  • Cooperation: Serious or repeated violations of these principles may result in the termination of the business relationship.

📄 Reporting Violations

If you feel uncomfortable or witness a violation, please feel free to contact our managing director in confidence. Every report will be treated confidentially and handled appropriately.

Consequences

In the event of violations of this Code, management reserves the right to take the following measures:

  1. Admonition: A private and confidential discussion regarding the misconduct.
  2. Warning: A formal warning for more serious or repeated incidents.
  3. Suspension: Temporary or permanent exclusion from projects or termination of employment.

Commitment

This Code of Conduct is binding for all Knips-O-Mat employees. We encourage our partners to act in accordance with the same principles.
